Everyone knows that DAP (both free & premium versions) is not able to embedded videos and music from websites like youtube, imeem etc. But we can use DAP to download youtube videos via keepvid. To download videos with DAP follow these steps :
- Browse to youtube and select a video to download. Copy the URL of that youtube video. Example, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlGRYAoVs4U&feature=fvhl
- Go to Keepvid.com. Enter the URL that you just copied and hit download. (Install Java Runtime Environment if Keepvid doesn’t work for you)
- Now DAP downloads the youtube video.
In the above image you can also see that DAP is directly downloading directly from Youtube servers (Thanks Keepvid!).
DAP is the most popular download manager and the number of users are still growing. So keeping them in mind I posted this article on download youtube videos without using any other stream catching softwares and stuff like that. In my experience I found that Orbit is far more superior that DAP free version. Orbit is also free and it captures music, videos etc automatically. You may try it.

I can’t download youtube videos by DAP. How can I plz??
As I said in the article, DAP doesn’t have the ability to directly download from youtube. We need to use other ways to do that. Here, we are using an online video downloading service called Keepvid.com. Even though we can’t download Youtube videos directly, we can download them through Keepvid.com. So, use Keepvid.com (follow above said steps) to download Youtube videos.
